Company Profile
Rydell Industrial (Belting) Co commenced business
on the 11/11/1974, by the current co-owner Russell Glenn. After
a short period of consolidation, Rydell moved to a small factory
in Moorabbin in September 1979. Rex Over became co-owner in April
1981, and with Russell, they forged a strong partnership to grow
the company to larger premises in Moorabbin during March 1983. It
was during this phase that Rydell opened their first interstate
branch in January 1987. Rydell South Australia opened with the current
manager Charlie Vella and began the Australia wide expansion of
the company.
In July 1987, Victoria moved to its current
location in Moorabbin, which was more than twice the size of its
old factory, and in October 1988, Rydell opened up its second branch
in Western Australia, with the current manager Mike Glenn at the
helm.
February 1991 saw Rydell New South Wales commence
business with current branch manager Shane Voigt and in April 1993,
Rydell Hastings was formed to service the growing industry in the
region. Rydell was quickly becoming the major player in Australia
for lightweight to medium belting, and to complete the Australia-wide
expansion of the company, Rydell Queensland opened its doors in
January 1997 with current manager Wayne Durdin.
Rydell is now the only Australian organisation
to have company owned branches in all mainland states of Australia
to offer true national coverage and support.
